This picture is really neat. It is so simple, yet so pretty. But the way I focused the camera made it even nicer. This photo was taken at the Cuenca Orchidarium, if you get to Ecuador, a must see!!! Thanks for reading. Catch ya later shutterbug ;) !
The way the clouds settle in the Andes mountains often makes me feel like we are living in a dream. We got this shot early one morning while driving through the beautiful Yunguilla Valley. In this picture you can't really see into the valley because it's full of white fluffy clouds.
I love to swim! I especially love swimming in places where I know there is nothing too big that's going to come out and try to get a piece of me. ;) Las Grietas is just such a place, but it's much more than that! Growing up in Nova Scotia, Canada I loved going camping in [...]
This picture is sooo cool. The lighting was awesome, and the clouds! Check out my parents awesome time-lapse of the sunset on Isabela. I took this picture with the Kodak Easyshare C813 Zoom Digital Camera. The picture was taken on the Island of Floreana, Galapagos. Photoshop adjustments: Curves 1, Mask /8. Catch ya later shutterbug ;) [...]

The Pimsleur Method (developed by Dr. Paul Pimsleur) is popular among travelers, expats and business people - and is my favorite way to learn Spanish. When we first moved to Ecuador I was really struggling with learning the language. Some friends told [...]

And where we rested each evening after exploring the island (hiking volcanoes and snorkeling through underwater stone tunnels). The Galapagos are a [...]
One of the things tourists and expats enjoy seeing in Cuenca Ecuador is the street food. There are a number of different things sold as street food in Cuenca, like salchipapas (french fries with a sausage/wiener on top,) bags of fruit or coconut slices, and the pastel colored meringue with sprinkles on top. But when [...]
Have you traveled through Quito Ecuador recently? When the new airport opened just over a year ago, one of the big complaints was the cost to get back and forth to the city. Taxi rates were quoted to be as high as $50 each way. Well, here we are a year later and and things [...]
When we first moved to Ecuador we didn't think we would ever get our license or own a car here, but things have a way of changing. We love the freedom of having our own wheels. One of the things I love the most is going for long drives in the countryside. The Sierra (which [...]
