While vacationing in Salinas, we ate at a nice little restaurant on the Malecon called Terraza del Mar. This is also a hotel, but we didn’t get a chance to take a look at the rooms.

Terraza del Mar Restaurant in Salinas
They have an inside and outside covered eating area. It’s just above street level which makes for a better view of the beach.
Their menu is in Spanish and English, and their prices are reasonable – just $6 for a seafood omelette, with crab, squid, shrimp – the works. They also serve real coffee – not instant – which is what often ends up on our table when we order coffee here in Ecuador. We always take a peek at the coffee maker before ordering.
The staff was really nice, and everything appeared to be clean and well taken care of. We were there at an odd time, just a spontaneous snack break, so the place was pretty much empty as you can see from the pics.
