Custom Silver Jewelery in Cuenca at Argo Joyeria

We found an intriguing jewelery shop downtown Cuenca that I thought I should share, because who doesn’t like some new jewelery now and then?

I really like Argo Joyeria because it’s not the average jewelery store, it’s bright, cheery and the jewelery is very unique.  Everything in the store is handmade, and they say that if you have an idea, just bring it to them and they’ll work with you so that you’ll soon be wearing around your one of a kind creation.

We’ve been told by many people that it’s not safe to wear gold here so we had custom silver bands made to replace our gold wedding bands, mine was $10 dollars, and Bryan’s was $18.  They said that the bands would be ready the next day, but we weren’t going to be back for a week, and that was fine.  They just asked for half the money upfront and the rest when we picked up the rings. When we went back the bands were waiting for us.  We’re very happy with them; they fit perfectly because they were made- to- fit.

The shop is tiny, so it’s easy to miss, but it’s worth keeping an eye open for.  They have a good selection of jewelery to choose from, and if you want something made unique/custom, all you have to do is ask.

We have dealt with Adriana Landivar (pictured below) but you could also work with her husband Juan.
