Work Abroad Opportunity for Bilingual Writers at About.com

Posted in: Working Abroad

If you are bilingual then this one is for you.

About.com has recently added a Spanish language channel to their über popular site. Currently they have about 30 Spanish topics live and will be adding significantly more throughout the year.

The requirements are simple. You must be fluent in Spanish – because all the writing is Spanish. But you also must read (and understand) written English. They are an English company and all of the publishing tools and correspondence is in English. You must be an expert or experienced in the given topic. About.com logoYou will be writing articles, reviews and tutorials for your topic. You will also blog weekly about your topic and maintain your site. For an example, check out my online business section.

They are a great company – and they don’t mind that I live in South America. Write for About.com – While Traveling / Living Abroad

It would be really cool to find a resource for translating that would help with learning. Like a partnership between someone fluent in Spanish & someone fluent in English. Then we could help each other learn by writing and translating together.
